ME & MACAU - PART 2

Day 2 - Part A


Our plan today will start at 10.00am for a Macau City Tour. The first stop was at Museu De Macau. This ancient fortification built by the Jesuit Fathers in 1626, on the peak of the Monte Hill, perched high above the city centre. This Fortress built in a quadrilateral shape with four bastions in the corners and thick exterior walls made from “chunambo”, or taipa, a highly resistant material made from mortar containing sand, lime, fragments of shells and crushed oysters.




Stands adjacent to the famous Museu De Macau is where Ruins of St Paul located(also known as Sam Ba Sing Tzik). First constructed in 1580, St. Paul's Church caught fires in 1595 and 1601. However, reconstruction started in 1602 soon after the church was burnt down. Completed in 1637, the church became the biggest Catholic Church in East Asia at that time. Unfortunately, a violent typhoon hit Macau in 1835 and the church caught fire for the third time leaving its glory a history.




The photo shows below was a small busy alley that lead to Ruins of St Paul. It is one of the tourist attractions with lots of small shops (but expensive in rental)waiting for people to spend their money.

ME & MACAU - PART 1

Day 1

Remember when I said I was preparing for a trip? Yes, I was on my way to Macau actually. I was asked to bring few big partners for a familiarisation trip co-organized by my Company and Macau Tourism Office.

Macau is situated on the South coast of China. It currently houses a numerous population which since the beginning the 80’s has not ceased to increase as a result of the intense immigration arriving from the People's Republic of China. This influx of new residents brings people to the cities in search of better working opportunities and a brighter future for them and their families, many of whom wait patiently in their remote villages in China.

The current population of Macao is estimated at around 450,000 inhabitants, predominantly Chinese (93%) followed by the Portuguese community (5%) and other residents of different origins like Filipino’s and Thai’s.

We arrived at Macau around 12 midnight. Upon immigration clearance, the MGTO HQ staff namely Mr Paul Poon waited for us at the arriving hall. We were then ushered to a coach by Mr Paul & Mr Edmund from Shun Tak Travel Services Limited.

Mr Edmud briefed and showed us Macau at midnight before we were checked-in into Rio Hotel. Everything has been arranged and we just straight away went up to our hotel room.

The Rio Hotel cum casino is a very nice place. The room is huge and our room well equipped with 2 lcd tvs at living and bedroom each one.

MY TRIP TONITE

At the time I am writing this blog, I am busy preparing myself for my trip tonite.
Luggage semua dah siap....cuma adalah benda-benda kecik yang aku nak siapkan sikit.

My flight from KLIA (tak mainla LCC) pukul 9.00malam nanti and by the time I reach that destination, it is already midnite.

Hopefully kat sana nanti adalah masa untuk aku update kan blog ni so boleh lah jugak aku share story mory aku.

OK....cau cin cau.... see ya!!

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - LIVE IN KUALA LUMPUR

Last night aku berkesempatan pergi ke Stadium Merdeka untuk tengok konsert My Chemical Romance. Thanks to Man member Shariz yang kasi aku tickets ni. Kalau ikut-ikutkan, aku bukanlah fanatic sangat tapi I like few of their songs such as I Don't Love You , Teenagers, Famous Last Words & Welcome To The Black Parade.

Nak jadikan cerite, as usual aku ni dengan senang2nye lepak-lepak kat umah. Sedar-sedar dah nak malam dan konsert tu start pukul 6.30pm. Tapi biasala selalunye local artis yang akan performed dulu and malam tu Pop Shuvit & One Buck Short. Since aku datang lambat, so aku tak la sempat tengok.

Bila je aku sampai stadium, hujan dah turun dan basah la jugak. Nasib baik dia ada kasik baju hujan, so oklah jugak.

Stage and lighting malam tu kira ok dan crowd pun sempoi. Cuma hujan tu je la yang kurengggg sikit.

Since aku pun tak banyak nak komen, so korang tengok je la few photos yang aku ambik ni. Sorry le sebab aku ambik dari jauh walaupun tickets aku tu membolehkan aku duduk betul2 depan stage. Tapi disebabkan datang lambat....so dari jauh je lah aku ambik.
